Kingston, NY- Ulster County Executive Mike Hein received a strong vote of confidence today from New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo. County Executive Hein has been a strong leader for the people of Ulster County and shares the same belief as Governor Cuomo that government can stand for both progressive values and fiscal responsibility. The Governor’s endorsement affirms the importance of County Executive Hein’s reform based agenda.

Ulster County Executive Mike Hein is finishing his first term as Ulster County’s first County Executive. County Executive Hein was first elected to public office in 2008 to a three year term following the County’s adoption of a charter form of government. He is running unopposed on the Democratic and Independence Party lines. Since taking office, County Executive Hein has built an administration with an incredible record of reform and looks to continue to transform government in Ulster County.
